Publications
A working record of books published by The Women’s Press, London — twenty-five years of live authors and live issues.
This archive gathers the enduring publishing successes of The Women’s Press across its four principal lists. The Press began publishing in February 1978 under its founder, New Zealand-born Stephanie Dowrick, and went on to publish writers whose work had been overlooked because of their race, culture, or sexuality, alongside the radical theorists who defined Second Wave feminism in Britain.
Entries are grouped by subject and ordered by year of publication. A star (★) marks a landmark title. Use the search to find an author or book across the whole catalogue, or filter by list. Original ISBNs are given where recorded.
